During Frontier Fiesta 2023, members of Cavalier Cookers, Gene Young Memorial Cookers and Gene Young's family presented the first ever Gene Young Memorial Scholarship to Blake Demler.

Blake graduated in 2023 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  He spent time his senior year as a J.S.L intern at NASA where he worked with the international space station.  During his time as a member of the ZX chapter of Sigma Nu, Blake was involved in various activities and spent a year serving as vice president.
